About the Training
The Anthroposophic Midwives Association, launching its first cohort in 2026, is an international program designed for midwives with at least three years of experience in pregnancy and birth care. Rooted in the spiritual philosophy of Anthroposophy, this training weaves together the art and science of midwifery, offering a holistic approach that honors the profound transformations of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Through a series of thoughtfully curated modules, participants will explore:
The foundational principles of anthroposophy.
Anthroposophical perspectives on health, disease, and healing.
Practical applications specific to Anthroposophic Midwifery.
This training bridges spirit and matter, equipping midwives to hold space for birth's physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, supporting families through these sacred thresholds of life.
Bridging Spirit and Matter
Midwifery is a sacred calling, standing at the threshold where the physical and spiritual meet. “Bridging Spirit and Matter” embodies the essence of Anthroposophic midwifery, recognizing that birth is not merely a physical event but a profound transformation for both mother and child. This approach honors the individuality of each family, weaving spiritual insight and holistic care into every aspect of the birthing process. By integrating Anthroposophical principles, midwives can support the physical body, nurture the soul, and hold space for the spiritual journey, creating a harmonious balance between life's seen and unseen dimensions.
Join us in advancing holistic midwifery care with a global community of professionals dedicated to nurturing the wisdom of the human being.
